Accommodation
The conference is being held at the Macdonald Aviemore Resort, which is located in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, and a short walk from Aviemore railway station (see the Location page). You are free to book any local accommodation that suits you. The venue has a good number of rooms, but may get booked up, so we advise you to book your accommodation soon.
MacDonalds rates are £150/night for B&B single occupancy, and £160/night for joint occupancy. To book directly, please contact Natalie (specialevents.aviemore@macdonald-hotels.co.uk) with your name, dates required for accommodation, phone number, whether you require a single/double, and quote ‘Gravel Bed River Conference’.
The team will then arrange to take payment over the phone, which can be at a time convenient for you as they have a 24 hour reception, or she can provide details for a bank transfer.
